Dr. Ali Hosseini

Ali Hosseini is a counselor and psychotherapist with more than 15 years of professional experience in counseling and psychological services. His areas of work include individual counseling, couples therapy, family therapy, addiction treatment and prevention, group therapy, and psychological and family education.

He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from Islamic Azad University and has worked as a counselor and psychotherapist since 2013. Since 2018, he has also served as a counselor, therapist, and instructor of psychology workshops and group-training programs at Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University.

His professional background also includes serving as a member of the Editorial Board of the Addiction Medicine Quarterly in 2015, working as a counselor at the Boys’ Music Conservatory since 2011, and teaching family-education courses. He has also worked as a psychologist at Dr. Kamgar Substance Use Treatment Clinic, Ghasr-e-Dasht Substance Use Treatment Clinic, and the Psycho-Oncology Department of the Cancer Research Center at Shohada-e Tajrish Hospital.

In the field of research and publication, he contributed as a specialist to the development of the Healthy Family educational program for primary addiction prevention and professional training. He has also authored four articles on family therapy in addiction published in the Addiction Medicine Quarterly.

His specialized training includes Integrative Couples Therapy, the Matrix Model for Addiction Treatment, Solution-Focused Family Therapy for Addiction, Premarital Skills Training, UNODC family skills training for substance-use prevention, Transactional Analysis (TA) Group Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) in group settings, and introductory training in the treatment of sexual disorders and concerns.
